Hi, this is Taro.
Today, I took the Versant English Test, which I had planned for some time. Unfortunately, my score dropped slightly compared to the previous attempt, leaving me feeling quite disappointed.
Analyzing the Reasons for the Score Decline
I believe the main reasons for this decline are insufficient test preparation and underdeveloped listening skills. In particular, my listening abilities proved to be a significant weakness, leading me to question the effectiveness of my current study methods.
Reflecting on My Approach to English Learning
Throughout 2024, I dedicated substantial time and resources to learning English. As a result, I’ve noticed improvements, such as feeling more comfortable during online English conversations. However, despite focusing on enhancing my listening skills, this recent outcome indicates a need to reassess my strategies.
Future Study Plans and Pursuit of Other Skills
Moving forward, I need to reevaluate my attitude toward English learning and develop more effective methods for improving my listening skills. While I had intended to acquire various business skills this year, I’m now reconsidering whether to concentrate solely on English studies. Nevertheless, I plan to continue studying bookkeeping, a subject I’ve been keen to learn.
