Hello, this is Taro.
Today was a slow, relaxing Saturday.
In the midst of a calm day, I spent some time reflecting on my emotions and continuing my usual study routine.
Still feeling the gentle afterglow of a mini high school reunion the night before, I took the day at my own pace, focusing on English study and small tasks around the house.
A Peaceful Day That Quietly Filled My Heart
With no work and no packed schedule, I decided to take it easy at home.
Last night, I met some high school friends for the first time in about ten years.
There were even classmates I spoke to for the very first time—it was a strange mix of nostalgia and freshness.
To be honest, I’ve always been careful about leaning too much on the word “friendship.”
But yesterday, I realized that there’s a quiet happiness that can only be born from that bond.
Even after so many years, some connections never fade.
People often say “it’s just a long-standing tie,” but maybe those are actually the strongest ties of all.
2.5 Hours of English Study, Following My Usual Routine
Today, I spent about 2 hours and 30 minutes on English study.
I kept to the same routine I usually follow:
• Shadowing
• One-minute speech practice
• English composition
• Listening
• Vocabulary review
By the time I finish it all, over two hours have passed.
At this point, it’s more of a habit than a study task—it feels strange not to do it.
Today’s Reflection: The Power of Connection and Consistency
Whether it’s relationships or skills, everything is built through steady, quiet effort.
Progress in English, friendships that last—both are formed from invisible layers of consistency.
And once in a while, those efforts give you little rewards, like the quiet happiness I felt from the reunion and today’s slow, peaceful time.
A Thought for Tomorrow
Tomorrow, I’d like to be a bit more active.
But I want to keep the peace I felt today in my heart.
Final Note
Thank you for reading.
I’ve been receiving some questions about how I study English, so I’ll start writing more about my learning methods in future posts.
If you enjoyed this post, feel free to leave a like, comment, or follow.
I hope this small piece of my day brought something warm to yours.
